Our commitment – Partnership, transparency and accountability
Governance
JHI intends to maintain governance that is lean and proportionate to its size: few layers, documented decisions, strengthened control of expenditure and partnerships, and clear accountability to beneficiaries, partners and donors.
| Level | Organisation |
|---|---|
| Board of Directors | 5 to 7 members; oversight, structural decisions, financial control. |
| Executive leadership | 1 to 2 people; daily coordination, partnerships, funding. |
| Field | Local professionals and operational partners; impact feedback. |
Safeguards
- Conflict-of-interest declarations.
- Accessible reporting / whistleblowing mechanism.
- Independent annual financial audit.
- Transparent procurement procedures.
- Code of conduct for staff and operational partners.
Our commitment
JHI begins with a deliberately concrete ambition: successfully deliver two pilot projects in Northeast Syria, learn quickly, report transparently and build a partnership method that can later be consolidated or replicated.
Roadmap
| Period | Priority |
|---|---|
| 2026 | Structuring: registration, partnerships, field validation, preparation of both pilots. |
| 2027 | Deployment: operational mobile clinic, targeted distributions, first impact indicators. |
| 2028 | Evaluation: adjustments, consolidation or expansion based on results and funding. |
Cross-cutting indicators
- Consultations delivered and unique beneficiaries served.
- Local healthcare professionals trained and mentored.
- Women, children and households receiving direct assistance.
- Beneficiary satisfaction and feedback.
- Share of decisions co-designed with local actors.
- Cost per beneficiary and share of expenditure directly linked to programmes.
Consolidated budget
| Project | Budget | Beneficiaries / capacity |
|---|---|---|
| #1 Food & Hygiene | CAD 330 000 | 5,000 women with children / family units; ≥10,000 people (planning assumption) |
| #2 Mobile Clinic | CAD 170,000 | ≈4,400 consultations; ≈3,000–4,000 unique beneficiaries (planning target) |
| TOTAL | CAD 500,000 | Distinct scopes; avoid double counting |
Beneficiary estimates are intended for initial sizing and are not yet contractual commitments. They must be confirmed with CIMRO and local partners during operational planning.
